Sea Value is a founder and member of the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF) that has conservation measures to improve the long-term health of tuna fisheries.
As the ISSF conservation measure 2.5, the percentage of Sea Value purchases (measured in round ton equivalents) for the period Q1- Q4 2024 as follows:
Sea Value is fully committed to decreasing the percentage of purchases as “None of the above” in the Fishery Source and Supplier Source categories.
We committed to sourcing from fisheries that can meet and maintain the MSC standards. We will increase purchases of tuna from MSC fisheries by at least 5% within five years, including decreasing the percentage of purchases as “None of the above” by at least 5% in the Fishery Source and Supplier Source categories within five years.
